Bristol City are represented in the latest Football League team of the week that has been selected after this week’s action.

The performance by Bobby Reid in the three one victory over Barnsley at the weekend at Ashton Gate was enough to earn them a place in the side alongside the other most impressive performers in the Football League pyramid.

Explaining the choice – the EFL blurb read.

‘Reid netted on the opening day of last season, and he raced out the blocks once again, only this time going one better with two goals in a 3-1 win over Barnsley. Converted to a more advanced role this term, the local lad showed his striking prowess and teed up strike partner Famara Diedhiou as the Robins topped the table after Matchday 1.’

It’s always good to see the club represented in this way, and well played to Reid for his recognition.

Full Team:

Mark Gillespie (Walsall), Willy Boly (Wolverhampton Wanderers), Jack O’Connell (Sheffield United), Patrick Bauer (Charlton Athletic), Jodi Jones (Coventry City), Kalvin Phillips (Leeds United), Andrew Shinnie (Luton Town), Garry Thompson (Morecambe), Bobby Reid (Bristol City), James Collins (Luton Town), Conor McAleny (Fleetwood Town).
