With Bobby Reid registering his 15th goal of the season for Bristol City in the weekend’s clash with Leeds United, whilst the game was disappointing he knew he had a personal reason to be happy.

With Famara Diedhiou giving us the lead before Reid doubled our advantage in the 16th minute, the goal in front of the Sky Sports cameras was his 15th of the season so far and with a number of games left to play in the campaign he’s delighted to have hit that milestone.

His delight was obviously tempered however as we capitulated for a second successive time to only take a point from the match.

Speaking to the Official Site as he met with the media following the game, Reid to have mixed emotions but he was going to be pleased with his personal tally.

In hitting 15 for the season our Academy graduate goes into esteemed company as one of only three players in the division to score 15 or more across all competitions so far this year – Derby County’s Matej Vydra and Sheffield United’s Leon Clarke make up the three.

‘I am buzzing with the 15 goals. I remember the ball was in the air for a while and Packs smashed it across the box and I thought if I was on my toes I would get a tap in. Famara also got his tenth goal today and it`s a good partnership. We are working hard for each other, working hard for the team and hopefully it will only improve. It`s good for me to have someone next to me, a real presence who can take the load off me and I can float around and be busy like I want to be.’

Having lost our two goal advantage late on for a second successive week, Reid was obviously asked for his thoughts on that.

‘We are disappointed with the result as we went two goals up and looked comfortable. Had we been able to get a third in the second half we would have put the game to bed, but we were unable to extend our lead and you know what it`s like here, the crowd get on their back and they really pushed for it and they got their goals.’

He added.

‘Before the game we would have taken a point but we really wanted to win, particularly when we were 2-0 up. I think we did enough in the first half to warrant a win, but we couldn`t hold on and we have to go again.’

With Fulham up next on home soil on Wednesday evening, the aim will be three points and for us to get back to winning ways and with a win we would leapfrog our opponents who sit in fifth place in the table at this moment in time.
