Rose joins on season-long loan

City have swooped to sign young Spurs left-winger Danny Rose on loan until the end of the season.

Rose, 20, has agreed to join on ‘youth loan’, which basically means Spurs can recall him at any time over the course of the season.

City boss Keith Millen told the official website: “We tracked Danny throughout last season and even the year before that. He’s one we’ve been keeping an eye on for a very long time.

“I spoke to Harry on Monday and I must have caught him on a good day because he agreed that it was the right time for Danny to go out on loan and get some match action.

“We probably haven’t had that left-footer for the left-side since Michael McIndoe left,” added the manager.

“Danny gives us that, but he’s also a hard-worker. He’s a terrific footballer who is competitive.”

“We’re delighted to have him at the club.”

Meanwhile, Gavin Williams has returned to former club Yeovil on a month’s loan with an option to extend until the end of the year.

Slovakian international misfit Peter Styvar has also left Ashton Gate after having his contract ripped up.
