City midfielder Cole Skuse has gone public with the club’s aim for a top two finish this season.

The 24-year-old academy product told BBC Radio Bristol: “We’ve had meetings about our expectations and what we need to achieve.

“We want to get promoted, not by the play-offs, but by getting ourselves into that top two.

“I’m pretty sure everyone knows what we want, it’s been our objective for a number of years.”

Former City manager Gary Johnson made the mistake of raising fans’ expectations this time last year and suffered the consequences as his team failed to deliver but Skuse reckons the squad has learned from that experience.

“We know what we have to improve on from last year. There’s also three good sides who have come down and big clubs have been promoted.”

What do you reckon? Is it good to go public with something like this? Or is it better to keep it in-house? Comment on this article and let us know.
