What Cardiff manager Russell Slade had to say after last night’s draw with Bristol City.

Cardiff City and Bristol City completed a 0-0 draw at the Cardiff City Stadium in front of the Sky cameras last night.

The highlight of the first half was when Cardiff keeper David Marshall made a fantastic save to deny Jonathan Kodjia an opening goal.

In the second half Elliott Bennett was a whisker away from giving Bristol City an opener when his shot hit the upright.

But it was Cardiff who ended up frustrated right at the end when Sammy Ameobi managed to miss the target from inside the 6 yard box.

Cardiff manager Russell Slade told BBC Radio Cardiff after the game: ‘We were below par in the first half, we didn’t have a creative edge.

‘We are tight and organised, but we need to be doing more, particularly at home, to be creating more opportunities.

‘Sometimes in football you cannot always find the level you’ve set yourself, but there’s no need for doom and gloom.’
