Bristol City have now had four games moved in the Championship under the guise of ‘aiding’ Lee Johnson’s sides recovery and alleviating some fixture congestion in 2018/19.
With Blackburn Rovers, Sheffield Wednesday and Reading ties already moved the other week, Millwall’s visit to Ashton Gate in December has now gone back 24 hours.
Neil Harris’ side were due to make the trip on Saturday, December 1st for a 3pm kick off but the game has now been rescheduled for Sunday, December 2nd and will carry a kick off time of 1.30pm.
How that helps with recovery and fixture congestion is anyone’s guess and a number of fans on social media were quick and happy to point that out, but I’m not sure I should repeat some of them on here.
The revised schedule of games switched now reads:
Bristol City v Blackburn Rovers – Sunday, September 2nd (1.30pm kick-off)
Bristol City v Sheffield Wednesday – Sunday, October 7th (1.30pm kick-off)
Bristol City v Millwall – Sunday, December 2nd (1.30pm kick-off)
Bristol City v Reading – Friday, April 19th (12noon kick-off).
FFS – any chance we can have a game on a Saturday at the Gate? I want the players rested but this is not considering the life style and working commitments of the fan base
