Stead Interesting Barnsley

Barnsley boss David Flitcroft is interested in taking former Bristol City striker Jon Stead to Oakwell.

Barnsley would be able to pick the player up for free after he was released by City at the end of the last season.

The 30 year old only managed five goals in 30 appearances last term, but he showed Barnsley what he could do by scoring two of City’s goals in a 5-3 game at Ashton Gate.
