Stewart: we’re not mentally strong

Bristol City striker Marcus Stewart admits he is feeling the pressure at his side’s abysmal run of nine straight losses.

The 33-year-old joined the Robins from Sunderland in the summer, but has been powerless to stop the slide to the foot of the table.

He told BBC Radio Bristol: ‘This run of defeats is the worst sequence in my career.

‘We had eight games at Sunderland not last season but the season before.

‘I don’t think it’s the our fitness but I feel it’s about mental strength at the moment. We need to get through this by being tough mentally.’
