Sturrock Hopes To Put One Over Coppell

Bristol City meet Southend at Roots Hall in the Carling Cup tonight with Shrimpers manager Paul Sturrock hoping to improve his record in the competition.

Sturrock will have his side fired up as he looks to put one over Steve Coppell, causing an early round upset.

“My cup record is shocking and it would be nice if we could change that,” said the Scotsman.

“I`ve handled leagues well in the past but cups are a different kettle of fish.

“Hopefully it will be different with Southend because the league cup could be a bit of a money spinner for us.”
