Bristol City boss Keith Millen has set his side a target of seven points from the four games over the festive period.

City travel to Reading on Boxing Day, before two big home games against struggling Crystal Palace and Severnside-rivals Cardiff, before an equally daunting trip to high-flying QPR in the New Year.

Millen told BBC Radio Bristol:“If we could get three wins then certainly we’d be in the top 10.

“Seven points would get us to mid-table, anything below gives the teams below us a chance of catching us.

“If you can get a good performance in, then you don’t need to worry about it and can just move onto the next game.

“We sat down with the players and we set ourselves a target.

“We’re looking to win every game, but all you can do is guarantee your performance and we know if we do that we’re a match for anyone.

“With the four games in eight days there are a lot of points to play for and, if we can get a good return, then we’ll be looking a lot better.”
