Bristol City striker Ryan Taylor will not see action again for at least six weeks or if things are worse, then he will be ruled out for the rest of the season after getting injured on Saturday.

Taylor ended up with a fractured collarbone in the game against Ipswich; he lasted just a quarter of an hour of the game which City won 2-1.

The player left Ashton Gate in a sling and after x-rays the damage was confirmed.

Boss Sean O’Driscoll told Sky Sports: ‘It’s a fractured collarbone and that means at least six weeks out for Ryan.

‘The x-ray has revealed the break and it just depends how serious the specialists believe it is. It may need a plate to fix it, which could mean his season is over.

‘But whatever happens, we’re going to be without him for a while, so we may need to look at bringing somebody in up top.’
