The Championship season continued with the latest round of games played during midweek.

With leaders Sheffield United, somewhat surprisingly, losing at QPR on Tuesday this opened the door to Wolves, who took the opportunity as victory at Carrow Road against Norwich took them top.

Cardiff’s win over Ipswich keeps the Bluebirds very much in the automatic promotion mix at this stage too.

Meanwhile, at the other end, the battle between the bottom two ended in a six goal thriller at the Stadium of Light. Sunderland avoided dropping below Bolton to the foot on the Championship table but a 3-3 draw wasn’t enough to keep Simon Grayson in a job as the former Preston boss was sacked within minutes of full time.

Here’s a round up of the Championship results.
