Neil Warnock was more than delighted that his QPR side managed to come back from a goal down at Ashton Gate to keep up their unbeaten record with a 1-1 draw.

Things were looking good for the home side as they led through a first half wonder strike from Jon Stead.

But then Warnock brought on Patrick Agyemang and he scored to give his side a share of the spoils.

“We had to work really hard not to lose that game,” Warnock told Sky Sports.

“We were the better side, but they are obviously fighting for their lives.

“It’s a fabulous goal from Jon. I said before the game ‘he’s likely to come up with a goal’. He’s a great player, good professional.

“We play right until the end. Good teams do. It might be two points lost, but I think it’s a point gained in the circumstances.

“We try and play it as you saw, but you have to give them credit. They fought for their lives.

“We kept going and that’s what it’s all about. The subs helped us. Three games in six days. We’ve had some travelling this week.

“It’s good to be undefeated. Now we’ve got seven days off and now we can start the season.”
