Would A Cool Million Buy Adomah?

Bristol City have apparently turned down an offer of £850,000 for the services of Albert Adomah.

The City winger has been in the past the subject of bids from Crystal Palace, but the club were having none of it. But an £850,000 bid is substantial money to a league one team and if that sort of money has been offered, I’m surprised that hands were not snatched off.

Adomah’s current deal runs out next summer and while City are turning their nose up at the offer that has supposedly come from Wigan, I would imagine that it wouldn’t take a lot more before O’Driscoll has his mind changed. I reckon a million should do it.

And O’Discoll says himself that if the right offer came in, the club would very likely sell and a million leaves City with a nice profit.

Time will tell.

(note from CiderJar: One thing that it is important to stress is that whilst Steve Lansdown continues to invest and under-write the clubs losses Bristol City will not be a selling club and will continue to hold on to their key players. Any key player will not be made available cheaply. “Cashing in” is certainly something Bristol City never do.)
