Adam El-Abd has left Bristol City this week, he had his contract paid up and is now a free agent.
The defender had twelve months of his contract left to run, but he was not able to command a regular place in the Robins’ side last term so he has been allowed to leave to seek another club.
El-Abd had been with the club for two and a half years and was signed by Steve Cotterill, but the two did not see eye to eye at the end of his first season and appearances after that were at a premium.
His future with the club did not improve any after Lee Johnson took over, so the agreement to leave the club was welcomed by the player.
