Sunderland right-back Adam Matthews, currently on loan at Bristol City has been recalled to the Wales squad for next weeks international games.

Welsh boss Chris Coleman has decided that it is time for Matthews to comeback to the squad after being out since September 2013 due to his form with City and his availability to once again be able to take part in regular games.

The 24 year old has only played in two games so far, but that is enough for Coleman to become interested again, and that was one of the things that Matthews was hoping for when he joined City.

The Robins take on Bolton today at Ashton Gate and Matthews will make his home debut as he sets about helping to keep City in the Championship.

That battle resumes at Ashton Gate today for a City side four points clear of the relegation zone and Matthews is poised for a home debut.

He told the Western Daily Press: ‘When you sign for a team you are looking forward to playing in front of the home fans and they showed against Fulham what sort of fans they are and I’m sure they will be even better at Ashton Gate.’
