While City jet off to their Portuguese training camp, it has been revealed that manager Gary Johnson is tracking the progress of Crystal Palace striker Wayne Andrews.
Andrews is out of contract at the end of the season and has been the subject of enquiries by several Championship and Division One Clubs.
The speedy striker, now 28 years of age, was a product of Watford’s youth system and had spells at Oldham and Colchester before joining Palace in August 2004.
Blessed with great pace and an enthusiastic style of play, Wayne can often make something out of nothing and change the course of a game.
All in all, Wayne, who stands 5′ 10′ tall and weighs 11st. 6 lbs., has made 99 league and cup appearances plus 48 as a substitute and has notched 34 goals.
City manager Johnson confirmed his interest in the striker prior to the journey to Portugal but stressed that Wayne was not one of the two players for whom he had made written bids earlier in the week
