Bristol City winger Albert Adomah is happy to play in a support role behind the strikers if in the end it helps City to win their fight against relegation.

Adomah was on the mark against Middlesbrough last weekend when he curled in a stunning goal to send the Robins on their way.

And as the Robins prepare to take on Wolves in the crucial game this weekend, the Ghanian told reporters that he had been in practice for his new role.

‘I think the manager wants me to play behind the striker if I am involved,’ he said.

‘I am working on that role in training and hopefully if we keep playing that way and if I’m involved I’ll keep improving as well and getting used to it.

‘I am more used to playing out wide, it is something different. If I am called up to play on the wing I can do that, or right-back, or in goal or on the bench – I’ll do that! A the end of the day he is the boss and you just have to listen to the boss.’
