Blackpool Sign Elliott Parish From City.

Blackpool have signed Elliott Parish on a free transfer from Bristol City.

Parish, who has been on trial at Bloomfield Road has joined the Seasiders on a year long contract with the option of another twelve months.

The 24-year-old made 26 appearances for City last season but ended up being sent out on loan to Newport County and upon his return to Ashton Gate he was placed on the transfer list.

Parish will be included in the squad for Blackpool’s opening game of the season at Nottingham Forest on Saturday, but being the club’s number two, he will take up a place on the bench.

He told Blackpool`s official website: “I`m really pleased to be here, it`s a step up from Bristol City coming from League One to The Championship, so I`m looking forward to the challenge ahead.”
