City manager Steve Coppell will be a busy man this week with at least two players set to join and Bradley Orr set to leave.

As we exclusively revealed on Friday, Orr confirmed on his Facebook page on Sunday that he has accepted “an offer he can’t refuse” from Queens Park Rangers and will join Neil Warnock’s new-look team on Wednesday for a fee in the region of £650,000 whilst the the man being lined up as his replacement is believed to be Bolton right-back Nicky Hunt.

The agent of Jon Stead is talking terms with City chief executive Colin Sexstone on Monday with Stead due down for a medical on Tuesday, should his wages fit within the clubs structure.

Reports emerging from Sky Sports.com on Monday also suggest the ‘substantial bid’ everyone is talking about is for in-demand Sheffield Wednesday keeper Lee Grant.

Burnley are front-runners for the 27-year-old, having met the £1 million price tag on Sunday night but both City and West Brom are thought to have submitted rival bids.

Sky also believe that City have had a bid to take Stoke centre-back Ibrahima Sonko on a season-long loan deal accepted by the Potters, with the big African expected to chose between us and Pompey by the end of the week.
