Bristol City missed the chance to go top of the Championship last night after only managing a 1-1 draw at home to Crystal Palace.
It was a game of very few chances and in the first half it seemed as if Palace had come for a point, but after the break Palace played a more attacking game. Lee Hills volleyed Palace into a 1-0 lead on the hour.
With time running out for City referee Richard Beeby pointed to the spot. A decision that seemed a bit harsh to be fair. Up stepped defender Bradley Orr who struck a fairly tame shot which was easily kept out by Speroni, who reacted brilliantly to spring to his left to keep out a second effort after the rebound fell back to the feet of Orr.
But deep into injury time Jamie McCombe fired in an unstoppable header to earn City a point.
