Bristol City had the chance to move away from the relegation zone tonight when they took on Coventry at Ashton Gate. Unfortunately, they did not take that chance and lost the game 2-1.

City took a blow to the chin early on in this game when Frank Moussa gave the visitors an early lead. He made a B-line for the box and hammered the ball under the body of Simon Moore.

Then Moore showed his class when he tipped over a 25 yard strike from Adam Barton.

But in the 25th minute it was disaster for the Robins when a Carl Baker corner came to Andy Webster on the back post and he made it 2-0.

Then Gregg Cunningham latched onto a through ball and should have pulled the score to 2-1, but Joe Murphy made a good save and the danger was gone.

Then from near the corner flag Sam Baldock had an effort hit the post, it would have been an audacious goal had it gone in.

But with just ten minutes left on the clock, City grabbed a goal back through a Wes Burns header that took a deflection on its way into the net.

But try as they might, City could not break down Coventry to grab an all important equaliser, thus failing to lift away from the drop zone.
