Bristol City have had more bad luck on the injury front when Joe Edwards and Dean Gerken both had to leave the field in the 1-0 defeat to Bath City.

Defender Edwards was caught with an elbow and suffered a broken nose while keeper Gerken was taken off with a groin injury, both incidents came before the first 45 minute period was up.

Manager Keith Millen is hoping that neither player will be out of action for the long term and hopes to have them back before the start of the season.

The blow comes on top of three players were still out of action, Neil Kilkenny (ankle) and striker Brett Pitman (shin) who will miss the next week, and Christian Ribeiro (knee).

And just to rub salt into the wounds, Bath won the game with a goal scored by Scott Murray
