The three business men have all made there money in the oil industry are keen to take a controlling stake in the club.

They feel the club has huge potential with the vast catchment area, the huge fanbase and the full ownership of Ashton Gate stadium is very appealing to the three business men.

The possible bidders want to take City from the Championship to the elite of the Premier League within three to five-years.

Talks are apparantly ongoing and figures between £20m and £50m are being bounded about.

There is no doubt that with financial backing City will go in a forward direction, but do the fans want the club sold to foreigners.

The current Chairman and controlling shareholder Steve Lansdown is a life-long Bristol City fan and it’s not known if he is willing to sell the club.
