Preston and City meet again for the first time in the Championship since both clubs were promoted from League One at the end of last season.

The Lillywhites have one win under their belts this season in the league so far, but the last three games has seen the club suffer three defeats against Ipswich, Hull and Derby County.

Both Preston and City have struggled a bit to find their feet again in the Championship with Preston sitting in 20th place with five points while City are just one place and one point behind.

A win will be vitally important to both sides tonight as each club tries to distance themselves from the bottom three

Vital Quotes:

Steve Cotterill “When you get promoted alongside teams you always look on them with fond memories, when last season we were fierce rivals.

“It`ll be good to go up there and see Simon (Grayson, Preston manager) and the Preston lads. We have great respect for them, probably like they do for us.

“They`re a very similar team to last year, much the same as us. We know them well but they know us well also.

“We want to go up there and win the game, make no bones about that. The handshake and glass of wine can wait until afterwards.”
