Unless there is a late change, the referee for the game against Coventry on Sunday is David Coote.

The Nottingham based referee last took charge of a Bristol City game at the start of last season when he officiated the Capital One cup game between City and Gillingham.

That night he showed four yellow cards at Ashton Gate, two for each club. As well as booking Liam Fontaine and Martyn Woolford, he gave the visitors a penalty from which they scored their first goal.

This season Coote has been in charge of one game, which was the Sky Bet Championship game between Reading and Ipswich. Reading won the game 2-1 and the yellow card was used three times.

His assistants for this game are Marvyn Amphlett and Nigel Murphy, while the Fourth Official is Wayne Porter.
