Cotterill Has The Patience To Wait.

Bristol City boss Steve Cotterill doesn’t mind waiting until the last moment to sign players for next season, so long as he gets the right ones.

Cotterill is making out a list of possible targets that he thinks he will need to improve the side and give that much more of a chance of promotion at the end of the season.

The boss would like to have his side up to the standard he wants as soon as possible, but he does realise that there are bigger and higher placed clubs in the food chain who would stand more chance of attracting the star names.

And training starts once again on July 1, Cotteril told reporters: ‘In an ideal world, I will have most of my new signings on board by then.

‘If you can achieve that, it then gives you time to assimilate them into the group and gel things together before the start of the season.

‘But the reality is, that is going to be very difficult to do. The biggest problem is that we are Bristol City in League One and not Bristol City in the Championship. There are certain players I want to bring here, but I know I’m going to have to wait and bide my time.’
