Bristol City now sit next to the bottom place in the Championship after falling to a 2-0 defeat at home to Reading on Saturday.

But although the Royals took all three points from the game, City manager Steve Cotterill said after the game that his side was hard done by.

The visitors took the lead when an offside Nick Blackman picked up a through ball from Garath McCleary and fired past Frank Fielding in the Robin’s goal.

Shortly after, McCleary made it 2-0 when he sent in a low shot from 30 yards and again Fielding was beaten.

City had two appeals for penalties, but both Wilbraham and Kodija were turned down.

Cotterill told BBC Radio Bristol: ‘We felt hard done by with the first goal and thought there was an offside leading up to it. Until then we had begun brightly.

‘It hurt us badly and we just need one or two decisions to go our way at the moment.

‘We had a bit of bad luck hitting the post, but I’m not sure we did enough on the afternoon to deserve anything.
