Things are beginning to look up for Bristol City after they went to Coventry and came back with a fine 4-1 victory with Nicky Maynard on the scoresheet once again.
Maynard continued his goalscoring return in his third start since recovery from injury when he got his third goal after 15 minutes to open the scoring against sorry looking Coventry.
Lewin Nyatanga poked home David Clarkson’s free-kick nine minutes later and City were totally in control and heading for a welcome three points.
It was all over as a contest when Clarkson fired home a penalty just before the break.
Lukas Jutkiewicz pulled a goal back for the home side eight minutes into the second half, but any hopes Coventry had of a comeback were taken away when that ever-so-nice man Marlon King was shown a red card for violent conduct. (No surprise there)
On 82 minutes Marvin Elliott restored City`s three goal cushion which meant a third win on the bounce for Keith Millen`s side and a gap of nine points between them and the drop zone.
