Earlier this evening Bristol City confirmed that manager Lee Johnson had added Everton youngster Liam Walsh to our ranks.
The 20 year old comes into the club for an undisclosed fee, signing a two and a half year deal.
He’s not available to play this weekend when we face Watford in the FA Cup but he will be available for the League Cup semi final against Manchester City next week.
Speaking to the Official Site Johnson explained.
‘I think Liam gives us something slightly different to what we have already and adds to the qualities we already have in midfield. He loves getting on the ball and is a very good passer with both his left and right foot. He`s done very well on loan at Yeovil Town previously and I`ve tracked him for some time. He`s a brilliant player, who can come in and compete immediately. Hopefully he can improve and he improves us.’
He has been handed the No 12 shirt.
His time at Yeovil last season saw him play 17 times, scoring once and earlier this season he had a three game spell at Birmingham City.
