Ex-Bristol City boss Gary Johnson has been sacked by League One side Peterborough United after nine months at the helm.
Johnson, who left City in March last year after five years at Ashton Gate, had only been in the London Road hotseat since April.
The official line coming out of the Posh on Monday evening was that Johnson had left by ‘mutual consent’, following a 6-2 hammering from Fulham in the FA Cup last weekend.
A statement on the club’s official website read: “It was mutually agreed that Gary Johnson and Peterborough United Football Club Ltd part company. The manager and chairman could not see eye to eye on policy.”
