Cheltenham have taken former Bristol City trainee Tristan Plummer on trial.

The 22-year-old striker was released by City in 2011, but last season he could be found playing his football for Portuguese outfit Portimonense.

And on his first trial at Cheltenham, he scored for the Robins in their 1-1 draw with Evesham and boss Mark Yates has extended his trial period after seeing enough to get him interested.

Plummer was a n England under 21 international while working his way up at City, but after being sent out on several loan spells, he was deemed to be surplus to requirements by boss Keith Millen and went abroad.

‘Now that I’m back I want to get my head down and do as well as I can.’ He told BBC Radio Gloucestershire.
