City centre-half Liam Fontaine says that the Bristol City side have had their confidence re-installed since Keith Millen took over as manager.

So much so that the team are feeling that the caretaker boss is good enough to do the job full-time.

Fontaine knows that it is down to the board at the end of the day, but feels there is no harm flying the flag for Millen.

He told the Bristol Evening Post: “Milly has tried to get the good feeling back into the club again and we have responded well to him. He has put confidence back into the team.”

Millen has four more games before Steve Lansdown appoints Johnson’s successor, starting with Forest at the Gate on Saturday.
