A new place to visit next season is Fleetwood after the Town’s football club secured promotion to league one by beating Burton Albion in the play off final at the weekend.

Fans of Fleetwood Town (The Cod Army) celebrated into the night after the 1-0 victory gave them their sixth promotion in just ten years.

Manager Graham Alexander worked his magic and steered the club up yet another division, bankrolled by chairman Andy Pilley who has transformed the club and the ground since he took charge ten years ago.

Should be a good day out next season and we welcome Fleetwood to league one.

Leaving league one for the Championship at the weekend was Rotherham United.

Alex Revell was the hero of the day, he scored twice with his second securing a penalty shoot out which the Millers won 4-3.

A strange sight in the game was that of Steve Evans who celebrated Rotherham’s come back from two goals down by bouncing down the touch line towards an alarmed stand full of Rotherham fans.

Luckily for them he didn’t jump the barrier into the crowd.

Good luck to them next season.
