Paul Hartley has picked up his first award in City colours after being voted as Vital Bristol City’s Player of the Month for November.

We asked our fans to vote for the best Robins player over the past month and Scottish international Hartley fought off Dean Gerken, Cole Skuse and Danny Haynes to comfortably take first place.

Hartley picked up a whopping 56% of the vote during a dire month for the club on the field.

Skuse and Haynes got 16% of the vote whilst Gerken’s heroics from Saturday weren’t enough to earn him higher than 12%.

Our ex-Celtic talisman has been a shining light in November, leading from the front to drive on the midfield just when the team need him most.

As well as being remarkably consistent throughout the month, he added his second goal in City colours, albeit as a consolation in the 4-1 thumping at West Brom, with a sublime 30-yard free-kick.

Long may it continue as we certainly need him and his influence in the side whenever possible.
