Heaton Heading Up North

Bristol City goalkeeper Tom Heaton looks set to sign for Burnley after turning down the offer of a new contract with the Robins.

Heaton has no interest in staying with City and does not want to make the drop into League One, preferring instead to stay in the
Championship with the North West side.

Heaton travelled to Burnley for a medical on Friday and the Bristol Post reports that he will become a Claret later today (Monday).

The news comes just as the club have let Dean Gerken and Lewis Carey go and they now find themselves without a first team keeper.
