Brian Howard has put pen to paper on a deal that will keep him at Bristol City until the end of the current season.

The player has been on trail and training with City for the past few weeks and boss Sean O’Driscoll, who has been close to signing Howard before at Crawley, had seen enough to impress and offer the player a contract.

And O’Driscoll was happy to have signed his man. Speaking to bcfc.co.uk, he said: ‘He’s got Championship experience and technically, he is very good.

‘Brian was available and financially fits into the model going forward. His personality will add something positive to the group.’

Howard could go straight into the squad for the trip to Cardiff this weekend.
