Hull Will Not Be Dull

I have to say I am pleased with this outcome as will most neutrals. With Hull we can be assured that they will come to play their game which is a speedy and attractive brand of passing attacking football. There is no contrast in styles, Bristol City will do the same and the watching public can be assured of a quality game of football.

Bristol City will surely sell all of their 36,000 tickets and, assuming that the Tigers get the same allocation, 20,000 + seats will be available for Club Wembley members. These should sell quickly to any fan of football and I would hope that a 90,000+ crowd will witness what is Hull City’s first Wembley final in their 104 year history.

The bookies have Hull City as favourites but the odds are tight with Hull City currently at 4/6 to win and City at 11/10. It would take a gambler to make money from this and a brave man to predict the outcome. Hull have finished the season strongly but Bristol City have been back to their fluid best in the last four games.

My apologies for a lack of a match report from yesterday. To be honest I was overwhelmed by an incredible night at Ashton Gate. Extra time meant that I missed the last train out of Bristol and ended up getting the 0447 from Temple Meads, arriving home in rural Oxfordshire at 0733. A quick change of clothes and I was at work by 0815. The day was well worth it.

Wembley!
