Bristol City are represented in the latest Football League team of the week that has been selected after this week’s action.

The performance by Bristol City in the four one victory over Derby County at the weekend at Ashton Gate was enough to earn them a place as manager of the side of the most impressive performers in the Football League pyramid.

I think we’ll already know ourselves, and not just based on the latest performance, why Johnson was selected as part of the team but explaining the choice – the FL blurb read.

‘Bristol City climbed to eighth in the Sky Bet Championship standings, and are now the highest scorers in the division, following a 4-1 rout of Derby County at Ashton Gate. A goal down at the break, a clinical second-half display from the Robins saw four different players on the scoresheet as they sliced their opponents apart at will.’

It’s always good to see the club represented in this way, and well played to Johnson for his recognition, but the most important thing about the weekend was of course the win.

Full Team:

Tomas Holy (Gillingham), Matt Kilgallon (Bradford City), David Mirfin (Mansfield Town), Christoph Zimmermann (Norwich City), Albert Adomah (Aston Villa), Kevin Dawson (Cheltenham Town), Jed Wallace (Millwall), Jake Taylor (Exeter City), Gboly Ariyibi (MK Dons), Luke Norris (Swindon Town), Jamal Lowe (Portsmouth).

Manager – Lee Johnson (Bristol City).
