Bristol City are represented in the latest Football League team of the week that has been selected after this week’s action.

The performance by Bristol City in the two one victory over Middlesbrough at the weekend at Ashton Gate was enough to earn them a place as manager of the most impressive performers in the Football League pyramid.

I think we’ll already know ourselves, and not just based on the latest performance, why Johnson was selected as part of the team but explaining the choice – the FL blurb read.

‘Johnson said it was hard to single anyone out during Bristol City`s 2-1 win over Middlesbrough, and we have to agree with the boss! The Robins moved up to third in the Championship with a brilliant all-round performance, which saw full-backs on the scoresheet, centre-backs assisting, and goalscorer Jamie Paterson left with egg on his face…’

It’s always good to see the club represented in this way, and well played to Johnson for his recognition, but the most important thing about the weekend was of course the win.

Full Team:

Mark Oxley (Southend United), Ben Davies (Preston North End), Sean Morrison (Cardiff City), Mark Little (Bolton Wanderers), Sergi Canos (Brentford), George Thorne (Derby County), Callum Connolly (Ipswich Town), Mo Barrow (Reading), Lee Gregory (Millwall), Gary Hooper (Sheffield Wednesday), Ellis Harrison (Bristol Rovers).

Manager – Lee Johnson (Bristol City).
