City`s next opponents are Blackpool so at least we can have some fun on the fair after the game, but we are having a quick look back at August 2007 when the Robins went to Bloomfield Road and drew 1-1.

Scott Murray stepped off the substitutes’ bench to rescue a priceless point for Bristol City at fellow Coca-Cola Championship newcomers Blackpool.

Blackpool had taken the lead in the 52nd minute through Andy Morrell, but City got their just rewards after a second half rally when Lee Trundle`s stinging effort was parried by Pool keeper Paul Rachubka and Murray was on hand to stab the ball home.

Either side could have gone on to win the game but at the final whistle both managers Simon Grayson and Gary Johnson were not too disappointed with a point each from the game.

Following their respective promotions from League One in May, both teams remained unbeaten after two games back in the second tier.

Blackpool had won at Leicester on the opening day the previous weekend, while the Robins had Drawn 2-2 at home to Queens Park Rangers and then thumped Brentford 3-0 in the Carling Cup just a few days later.
