Millwall manager Kenny Jackett left Ashton Gate on Tuesday night wishing that his side had been a little less wasteful in front of goal.

Bristol City won the game 1-0 with an injury time strike from Nicky Maynard, but in all fairness Millwall had chances to have already have been in front by then.

Jackett acknowledged that his side have not made the most of the chances they have had throughout the season so far and last night City made them pay.

Jackett said: “We had a lot of chances but that`s been us, we haven`t scored enough goals generally.

“When the goal came at the end there it`s cost us and it`s cost us badly.

“We`ve created a lot of chances, a lot more than we have in recent games, but right the way through the season goalscoring has been a problem.

“We haven`t got outplayed by Bristol City, we haven`t been second best in any area but we`ve lost the game. We`ve had too many like that. Our ‘goals for` tally has been poor.”
