City manager Steve Cotterill is still looking into the prospect of trying to bring goalkeeper Simon Moore back to Ashton Gate on a season long loan next term.

Moore was with City for four months of last season on loan from Cardiff City, he is now back at the Welsh outfit but his future with the club seems to be far from certain. He may be asked to perform his duties behind regular keepers David Marshall and Joe Lewis.

It’s common knowledge that Cotterill is looking to bring in a new keeper before the start of the new season, and Moore is believed to be at the top of his list of possibilities.

Elliott Parish has been transfer-listed and Frank Fielding needs another keeper at the club to keep up competition for a place.

A move could depend on whether Cardiff number one David Marshall is going to remain at the club. Although the player himself has indicated that he would be happy to stay with the Bluebirds, Liverpool, Tottenham and Arsenal have all been linked with the 29-year-old.
