Bristol City chairman Colin Sexstone says there is no rush to appoint a new manager and they may not have a name by next week as they want to get it right this time.

Keith Millen left the club last week after his tenure as manager was a bit of a miserable one to say the least, the club are at the bottom of the league and have recorded just one win in ten league games.

There has been a number of applicants for the job and five possibles have been spoken to, Sextone and co hope to have that list down to the final two next week.

‘It could well be (next week before an appointment is made),’ the City chairman told BBC Radio Bristol.

‘But it’s not through any slackness on our behalf. We are working flat out and we want to make sure we get this as right as we possibly can.’
