Bristol City boss Sean O’Driscoll was disappointed that his new side lost by just the one goal at Leeds, but he is pleased with what he has seen and there is plenty to work with.

Leeds should have been looking at getting a few goals from this game on Saturday with the form that City had been in of late, but in front of the new manager the side did more than they have for a while and although a Ross McCormack goal gave the home side all the points, O’Driscoll still feels that there can be a major turnaround soon.

He felt that the two sides were evenly matched on Saturday and it would not have been an injustice if they had shared the points.

‘If we’d have walked off at 0-0 we’d be jumping. We get judges on results but the performance was better,’ O’Driscoll told the club’s
official website.

‘There was nothing between the two teams. I’m pleased, but disappointed with the result. We’d tried to give them things to do and by and large it worked.

‘You defend as a team and we did that well throughout. We can be better but no-one is going to click their fingers to sort it.
