The Football Association have now announced the Match Day officials that will take charge of the League Cup Quarter Final game between Bristol City and Manchester United this Wednesday.

Bristol City host Manchester United on Wednesday December 19 for the game at Ashton Gate and the match carries an 8pm kick off.

Referee: Mike Dean

Match Day referee Dean has officiated 13 games in 2017/18, showing 47 yellow cards and one red card so far.

He took in 36 games in 2016/17 with a return of 138 yellow cards and five red cards.

His highest card count that year was seven yellows in the game between Stoke City and Manchester City. He also showed seven yellows and one red in the game between Tottenham and Sunderland and Barnsley and Leeds United.

He took in 41 matches in 2015-16 and in those games, across all competitions and football divisions, he handed out a total of 136 yellow cards and twelve red cards.

He was most card happy in the match between Chelsea and Arsenal on September 19 with a total of six yellows being shown and two reds.

Let`s hope it`s not another repeat and more of the players edge closer to automatic bans.
