The Football League have now announced the Match Day officials that will take charge of the game between Manchester City and Bristol City this Tuesday.

Manchester City host Bristol City on Tuesday January 9 for the EFL Cup semi final tie at the Etihad Stadium and the match carries a 7.45pm kick off.

Assistant Refs: Lee Betts and Marc Perry
Fourth Official: Lee Mason

Match Day referee Taylor has officiated 20 games in 2017/18, showing 80 yellow cards and two red cards so far.

He took in 41 games in 2016/17 with a return of 161 yellow cards and five red cards.

That season his highest card count was eight yellows in the game between Leicester City and West Ham. He also showed eight yellow cards in the game between Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspur. Stoke City v Chelsea saw seven yellows and one red as well.

He took in 44 matches in 2015-16 and in those games, across all competitions and football divisions, he handed out a total of 147 yellow cards and six red cards.

He was most card happy in the match between Watford and Crystal Palace on September 27 with a total of eight yellows being shown.

Let`s hope it`s not another repeat and more of the players edge closer to automatic bans.
