Bristol City’s interim boss John Pemberton came away from Elland Road ruing the missed chances that cost his side dear on Saturday.

Leeds United won the game by the only goal from Souleymane Doukara, but City gave a good account of themselves and were unlucky not to score on more than one occasion during the contest after commanding more of the play than the home side.

Alex Pearce, Aden Flint and Luke Ayling all had chances to get City back into the game and beyond, but Pemberton’s side were guilty of misfiring in front of goal.

Speaking to City’s official website after the game, Pemberton said: “I`m disappointed with the scoreline because I think it`s a scoreline we didn`t deserve.

“They`ve had one chance and scored, but we`ve had several opportunities and not been able to take one. Those are the margins when you`re scrapping at the bottom of the league.’

The Robins are back in action again on Saturday when Birmingham City are the visitors to Ashton Gate.
