The Football League have now announced the Match Day officials that will take charge of the game between Cardiff City and Bristol City this Sunday.

Cardiff City host Bristol City on Sunday February 25 for the game at the Cardiff City Stadium and the match carries a 12pm kick off.

Referee: Paul Tierney
Assistant Refs: Scott Ledger and Andy Garratt
Fourth Official: Andrew Madley

Match Day referee Tierney has officiated 22 games in 2017/18, showing 57 yellow cards so far.

He took in 32 games in 2016/17, with a return of 110 yellow cards and five red cards.

His highest card count that season was seven yellows and one red in the game between Swindon and Oxford. He also showed seven yellows in the game between Newcastle United and Sheffield Wednesday on Boxing Day.

He took in 42 matches in 2015/16 and in those games, across all competitions and football divisions, he handed out a total of 118 yellow cards and four red cards.

He was most card happy in the match between Blackburn Rovers and Bolton Wanderers on August 28 with a total of eight yellows being shown and one red card.

Let`s hope it`s not another repeat and more of the players edge closer to automatic bans.
