Ref For City v Colchester – Brendan Malone.

The referee for Saturday’s game at home to Colchester United is Brendan
Malone.

This will be the Wiltshire based official’s first league game this season, he did take charge of the Capital One Cup game between Portsmouth and Peterborough in midweek, but he didn’t show any cards.

Last season Malone took charge of 30 games in all competitions, he showed the yellow card 70 times and the red came out on three occasions.

The last time that Malone took charge of a game involving City was Tuesday November 5, 2013. That night City beat Crawley Town 2-0 in League One. There was two yellow cards shown that night with JET getting one and Marlon Pack the second.

Helping Malone on Saturday will be John Busby and Steven Plane as assistants and fourth official duties go to Andrew Quin
